During the rest of Chemo
Due to being provided with help by the psychologist and having a routine which continued to keep my side effects at bay, the rest of the chemo cycles went by rather quickly.
During this time, I did unexpectedly have to visit the hospital once more though, because I had contracted Influenza A, which from what I presume was by me going out to a pub lunch with my friends and using public transport, although I had taken all precautions I was told to. Luckily, I was over this within a few days. This time though, I did not feel at all anxious, or stressed and was able to take this in my stride.
During the latter part of the chemo process, I did however get more side-effects, which were permanent cold sensitivity in my in my hands and teeth, meaning I could not eat food like ice cream, as well as a metallic taste from eating certain foods, for which the amount of affected foods would increase. I was also suffering from mouth ulcers underneath my tongue. All of which were fairly common and just stuff I needed to watch. To my surprise, during this time, I was able to trust in the process and keep my anxiety at a low level.
